Our exclusive Duo-Grip design includes Drum Brakes ranging in size from 7 inch to 20 inch drum diameter for rotational applications and our innovative Linear Brake for braking on traversing linear motion members directly. Ideal for safety applications requiring 
emergency stopping or 
precise holding of position, 
braking is spring applied and released by air or optional hydraulic pressure. A pressure 
discharge from the actuating cylinder of the brake will bring 

motion to a controlled stop quickly in case of the loss of power or critical machine system, drive runaway or a machine E-Stop condition. 

As Duo-Grip brakes are superior in installations where safety of personnel or equipment damage is of primary concern, they are also utilized very effectively in position holding, drag or tension applications and cyclical machine stopping. The simple, yet innovative Duo-Grip design has a proven record of providing reliable, powerful and consistent failsafe braking force in the harshest industrial environments. Adjustments can easily be made in seconds, linings can be inspected visually during operation and brake shoes can be changed in minutes without the use of specialized tools. Stock brake drums are machined for “QD” style taperlock bushings for easy installation on standard shaft sizes or custom machined bores are available. 

The key to the Duo-Grip braking system’s ultimate effectiveness is it’s extreme actuation leverage combined with “self-energizing” action that multiplies torque and generates a commanding grip on the drum, disk or flat bar causing powerful and efficient braking in an extremely compact package.
